Meet Miss Evie. Evie is a very special kitten. She was the runt of her litter and came to my foster home a scared little girl with a goopy eye. I literally swaddled her nonstop for about 2.5 weeks before putting her down to explore only to notice her back legs were very wonky. I wasn't sure exactly what was wrong and the vet was waiting for her to grow a bit before doing xrays. Before that happened she stumbled out of her bed and hurt her leg and started limping. The xrays were done and showed some deformities in both hind legs. We have consulted with a surgeon and he does not recommend any treatment at this time, since this issue does not slow her down one bit and she doesnt seem to be in pain. The vet said something went wrong with genetic code and her bones didnt develop properly, making her "bow legged" and stunting her growth. Since this is not a textbook case, its unknown what may be needed as she gets older. She runs, she climbs a cat tree, and she loves to play with toys and chase balls. Literally nothing slows her down. She doesn't know she's perfectly imperfect! She's petite and low to the ground like a munchkin. If youve ever wished to have a kitten that didnt growp up, this may be your girl! She also has "dry eye" in her left eye, meaning that eye isnt producing tears. We currently have her on a gel that you can purchas from Amazon to see if that helps. If not, it may be chronic and she would need a tear test and to be prescribed medication possibly for life. She will need a calm home without small rambunctious children. She likes other cats but is perfectly content playing by herself and entertains herself quite well! She loves to cuddle on your lap when she's tired and loves a fuzzy blanket. She is undoubtedly the sweetest little baby ever and will make the perfect baby for the right adopter willing and able to be proactive in keeping her safe (Im a helicopter parent!) and healthy in the future so she can live her best life. ##2273989##
