Sigourney AKA Yoda

My story

Meet Sigourney, also known as Yoda, a 6-year-old Saint Bernard mix who has overcome a heartbreaking beginning. Rescued from a severe hoarding and neglect case in Suwannee County, he arrived at Big Dog Ranch ready to find the love and stability he has always deserved. Though he was previously adopted, he was returned after not getting along with a smaller neighborhood dog. Because of this, Sigourney would do best in a home with other dogs close to his own size—and with an experienced owner who can continue helping him thrive. Despite his rough start, Sigourney is housetrained, walks well on a leash, knows basic commands, and has a sweet spot for cuddling and playing with his toys. He has a moderate energy level and enjoys daily walks and lounging around with his humans. Sigourney is not a fan of cats due to his high prey drive, but he’s a loyal, affectionate companion who will return your love tenfold once he knows he’s safe.
