My story

The big teddy! Hi there! I’m a 7.5-year-old, 84 lbs male neutered German Shepherd mix, and I’m a pretty chill guy with a bit of a silly side. I was rescued from the Pasadena Humane Society via the San Diego Humane Society because of the devastating LA fires. I’m still working on crate training, though I do get a little anxious in there (I’ve been known to hurt my nose trying to escape). But no worries, I don’t need to be crated—I’m totally fine napping around the house while my humans do their thing. I’m fully bathroom and leash trained, and when we go for walks, I’m an absolute dream—no pulling, and I’m calm even if we pass other dogs. I am a fun boy with adorable quirky habits. I am very doggo friendly. I might get a little playful and jump at cats sometimes, but I promise, it’s all in fun, not aggression. I’m also okay with kids. I’m great in the car, so I’m totally up for adventures like the farmers market or trips to the park. Honestly, I just like hanging out with my humans and being part of the action. At home, I’m a mellow couch potato, but if I’m outside or at the park with dog friends, I’m all about running around, playing, and having fun. I’m gentle despite my size, and I don’t really jump on people. I can go from napping to playing chase in an instant. A home with other dog friends would be ideal for me, but if you’re someone who likes to take their dog on outings, I’m your guy. I’m okay being left alone for a few hours (though, I’ve only been left for about 4 hours at a time). I promise, I’ll be there when you get back, ready for some snuggles or playtime. If you’re looking for a sweet, gentle, and adventurous companion, I might just be the one for you! My adoption fee is $150 and that includes spaying/neutering, shots, and microchip.
