These babies are being raised with exposure to kitties and adult dogs. They are so smart and learning fun things like following their mama, pulling her tail, and playing with all the toys and then piling on top of one another for naps! Hazel was the first of her siblings to follow her mama out the dog door, and then there was no stopping her! She played coy at first but now is always eager to learn new things and get love from her foster mom! Hazel will need a family with a secure, five-foot fenced yard and a male canine companion would be great too! She is such an easy-going girl, so should be great with children who have been raised with dogs. If you are looking for an active and loving girl to greet the Spring season with, Hazel may be your new best friend!  NGPR Pooch Profile Name: Hazel in OH  Age: 13 wks old as of beg. April 2025  Color: Brown with black & black nose, white on feet Dew Claws: no  Estimated Adult Weight: 75 - 80 lbs - best guess  Current Location: NGPR approved foster in Bellevue, OH  Medical: Pup will be placed on a spay/neuter contract with a date specified for the spay or neuter procedure to be performed by. Dewormed, negative for heartworm, up-to-date on vaccinations and currently on flea, tick and heartworm preventative. This dog travels with a Interstate Health Certificate required by the USDA confirming that all the above criteria have been met. Housebroken: Working on it!  Can be Placed With: Dogs, Cats, Kids   Fencing: Secure VISIBLE fencing is required; invisible fencing WILL NOT contain this breed. Fees: Adoption fees are determined on a sliding scale depending on age, location and transport. Transport costs are included in the adoption fee. Fees for dogs adopted locally start at $400 and can range up to $700 for puppies under six months. Puppies placed on spay/neuter contracts receive $100 back when the dog is spayed or neutered. Our relationship doesn’t end with adoption, as we continue to support adopters throughout the lifetime of their dog. Our goal is to assess every application on its own merits. Key considerations are: 1) the experience of the applicant with large breed dogs 2) children in the household or regularly visiting the household are ready for a large-breed dog who is a guardian by nature and 3) the sex of other dogs currently residing in the household to avoid same-sex aggression issues.
