My story

Hello. My name is Trixie, and I am the sweetest, happiest girl you have ever met. No one really knows how or when we got there, but one day, a lady saw us. Like most rescue dogs, it is so hard to believe what people can do to a family member. Our story begins in September 2024 (the hottest month). A lady was driving home from Dollar General. This is a rural area. Some businesses have closed or been abandoned and are run down. In my case, we were in an abandoned car lot. The office (shack) was run down and closed up tight. There was an old broken down car there. This was where we made our home. The lot was fenced off. Even though we could get out if we wanted, we knew it was safer to stay in the yard. The two other girls with me have been adopted As I mentioned before, a lady saw us. She went home and came back. We were terrified of her. She crawled under the car and put a blanket on the ground for us to lay on. She also brought a bowl of water, food, and treats every day, usually twice daily. After a month, we trusted her and loved getting her to pet us. One day, our foster mom came and took us to the rescue. So, here we are, ready to go home. I, Trixie, am the youngest and sweetest. I am so anxious to please you and make you happy. I am food motivated. My foster mom has been working with me continually. Today (04/19/2025), I sit, walk beautifully on a leash, love to be brushed, love other dogs & cats, bounce around like I am here to entertain you.
