My story

Welcome Sarge to CCPAL Rescue Foster program. He is a 3-year old Staffordshire Terrier/Lab mix is our best guess. He is a great dog. He is good with other dogs. He currently lives with a dog bigger than himself. He isn’t good with cats but good with all people. He bonds deeply and really likes women. His current owner has had a loss in her family that is requiring she move in with her daughter. She cannot take Sarge with her. She is looking for a new forever home for him. He would be great with an active family wanting a companion that is athletic and can walk, run or hike with you. He is friendly to strangers but he does jump up. He can be active outside and then turn into a couch potato in the house. He is neutered, vaccinated, house trained and likes car rides. He does know some commands but is a little distracted with commotion. With some work in an area with distractions, he would be great. He is eager to please and has a beautiful smile. He weighs about 55 pounds and is currently in Texas. He could be adopted in Texas and we can set up a meet and greet. We could also use one of the wonderful transporters to get her to Washington, Portland, Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. His adoption fee is $300 and transport is $200.
