Scarr is a ~ 40lb, 2 year old, german shepherd mix who was hit by a car back in february and had surgeries to fix a broken shoulder and amputate his hind leg. Despite all of that, he is a happy camper and doesn’t let any of this stop him from cuddles, going on walks, playing tug of war, devouring pup-cups, rolling around in the grass, and crawling all over you when he wants some attention! He is a sweet, playful, and affectionate boy who would be a wonderful addition to your family! He is fully potty trained and can be left alone for 6-7 hours at a time, and possibly longer if needed. He does not bark, but usually whines when you come home from being gone or when he needs to go potty. I am unsure of how he does with kids and dogs - he has had some interactions with other dogs in passing and hasn’t showed any signs of aggression or fear. He also takes anxiety medication daily but is not too difficult about it with a pill pocket. He is an active dog who hops around almost faster than I can jog sometimes! He also likes his down time to chill and cuddle for hours at a time. We go on a few short walks per day and spend some time in the courtyard of my apartment on the grass pads. He loves being outside, playing “tag” with you, and basking in the sun. While he is an active dog, he still likes to take long naps on the couch or his beds while snoring up a storm! He often likes to have at least one paw (if not more of his body) on top of you when you sit on the couch together. Scarr is a special boy that deserves the world, especially after everything he’s been through. He will never fail to lighten your mood or show his unconditional love. His happy and extremely loving demeanor makes for the best dog ever!
