Courtesy posting, please CONTACT: Jen 226-926-3045 via text or email Jennyvs@gmail.com Need someone special for this sweet boy. “This handsome boy is Benji a 2yrs 10 month old Canaan mix rescue from AlUla, Saudi Arabia. Benji was rescued at birth and lived in a shelter with his mum and 7 siblings. This sweet boy then transitioned into a foster home preparing for his long journey to Canada to live with his long term foster in Toronto. Benji has settled nicely into canadian life and is ready for his forever home. Benji has a quirky personality and loves attention and scratches. When you stop scratching him asks for more in his quirky little way. He is a little timid and it takes him time to adjust to new situations and surroundings. When out for walks Benji will avoid loud noises and large unfamiliar objects. Once Benji knows where he is and his surroundings he is a calm walker and happy to keep going. Benji likes to stay close to his foster dad when he’s home, he prefers to stick close rather the. Being alone. Benji can get nervous with lots of activity going on in the house and might pull/nibble gently at your pants to try to figure out what’s going on. Benji loves to meet new dogs, and acts like a puppy jumping around and bowing trying to instigate play. He is well behaved and will disengage when prompted. Benji has similar energy with his foster dad when they are getting ready for their walks. Benji doesn’t like meeting dogs in an off leash environment as it’s too unpredictable for him. He does like to play and meeting with another dog controlled environment. Benji has stayed in a home with an elderly cat for a couple nights. He tried to instigate play but when the cat warned him off he disengaged and ignored the cat. Benji would do well as an only dog or in a home with another dog that can teach him and set his boundaries. Enjoy is quiet when home alone but will bark to alert when hearing noise while his caregiver is present. Benji is a bed thief, and likes to sit close, almost but not quite snuggling. Benji is housebroken and non destructive, trustworthy so does not require to be crated. He is neutered and all up to date on his vaccines. Of note, Benji’s heart skips a beat (arithmetic). His Health is great and his heart is strong. He does not need medication.It’s been recommend that a stress free home is best for him to live a long and healthy life. Benji is currently on a raw food diet.”
