My story

Meet Daniel! This super sweet boy wants to be your long-legged, lap dog! Daniel is a goofy, young boy who will absolutely melt your heart. He has mastered the art of gazing longingly into your eyes and will have you wrapped around his paw in no time! He's not always confident around new people but is gaining confidence every day with patience and treats. It's hard not to fall in love with this adorable pup! ESTIMATE WEIGHT FULL GROWN: 60lbs KNOWN WITH DOGS: Daniel has done well with dogs at the Farm and goes in playgroups all the time! KNOWN WITH CATS: Daniel has not met a cat so we do not know. KNOWN WITH KIDS: Daniel is in a foster home with young kids and is doing wonderful, even loves to cuddle with them! KNOWN CUES: Daniel knows 'sit' and 'touch' and is working on 'down' 'paw' and 'stay' KNOWN HOUSEBREAKING AND/OR CRATING: Daniel feels safe in his crate and he walks into it nicely to watch the world around him. KNOWN LIKES: Sniffing, squeaky toys, people who move slowly with him. KNOWN DISLIKES: Sudden loud noises, people who don't work with him at his speed. BACKGROUND: Daniel was surrendered twice to a rural shelter partner in Rockbridge, once with his siblings as a puppy and again recently when his owner was no longer able to take care of him due to health issues. It's no wonder he can be a little nervous when his life has been so unpredictable. Daniel want to find a family he can love and trust, who will move at his speed and help him feel confident in our suburban area. He promises to repay you with all the cuddles and puppy kisses he can give - once he feels a little more comfortable.
