Riyah

My story

Riyah is a 1-year-old Pitbull Terrier-Catahoula Leopard mix. She came to us because her previous home could not provide the time and attention she needed. She had a strong bond with the children in her former home and thrived as a family dog. However, the noises in the shelter environment cause her stress, making it difficult for her to warm up to new people. With time and patience, her sweet and playful personality begins to shine through! She does require being the only dog in the house. Riyah is a STAFF FAVORITE pet! Here's what Animal Care Staff Member, Matt, has to say about her: "Riyah is an incredibly sweet and energetic girl. Her face lights up the moment she knows she knows it's time for a walk. She loves to play outside at any chance she gets and will play fetch with you until she's all tuckered out. She's been having a hard time at the shelter surrounded by noise and other animals. But the second you get her in a comfortable environment the difference is like night and day. She would love an active home with just her humans and a tennis ball.
