My story

Male, DSH, 3 years old Personality: Calm, Friendly, Outgoing, Snuggly, Talkative Meet Tory — a chatty, snuggly, curious gentleman looking for his forever home. One thing about Tory is he understands the importance of sleep! He loves nothing more than finding a cozy spot to curl up in, especially if it’s a human lap. This snuggly kitty will snooze for hours on a warm lap or lazily lounge near a window. While he enjoys chasing his string toy, he prefers to chill most of the time. When he’s not sleeping he’s a keen explorer and loves new people and places. He’s come to enjoy his supervised hallway expeditions before scampering back to the safety of home, and is always keen to welcome new guests! With Tory in your life, you’ll never be lonely! He’ll gallantly accompany you to the kitchen in hopes of getting a snack, and of course make sure you’re up in time to feed him in the mornings by hopping on top of you and meowing. We do not have a shelter. CDCK has a thorough adoption process to find the best possible fit for each of our dogs and cats (we do not operate under a first-come, first-served model). Upon accepting a new cat or dog into the organization, we provide a basic vet visit that includes necessary vaccinations, disease screenings, deworming, microchips, and spay/neuter (unless specified). We do not provide a comprehensive medical exam prior to adoption. As a result, sickness, injury, and disability may exist unbeknownst to CDCKR. City Dogs Rescue & City Kitties is not responsible for payment of any vet care, including known and unknown medical conditions once a cat or dog is adopted from us. Cat specific vetting: Rabies, FVRCP, Feline Leukemia vaccines, as age appropriate. Cats are tested for FIV and FeLV, when age appropriate, but not when born to a FELV/FIV negative mother in foster care. The kittens have age-appropriate vetting to date, which includes a veterinary exam, deworming, microchip, and the first FVRCP vaccine. An adopter will need to agree to cover costs of spay/neuter when he/she is age-appropriate (usually 16-20 weeks) and will need to continue his/her kitten vaccines (including rabies) as he/she grows older. Kittens under 12 weeks of age must be adopted in pairs or to a home with friendly resident feline. They will not be considered as singles.
