My story

Meet Art, the fluffiest masterpiece you’ll ever cuddle! This adorable poodle mix is a certified Very, Very Good Boy and ready to steal your heart. Art is as sweet as a warm cookie and loves belly rubs, snuggles, and short strolls where he can show off his curly coat. He may be a senior, but he’s got plenty of tail wags and happy hops left to give! Art’s ideal day? Lounging by your side, soaking up all the love, and maybe sneaking a treat or two. If you’re looking for a gentle, affectionate buddy who will adore you forever, Art is your guy. Here's some notes from his foster: Art has been through a lot in his 12 years and is ready to live a calm and mellow life-- he prefers to spend his days hanging out around the house, slowly sniffing his way through walks, following me from room to room and he takes lots of naps in the comfiest spots. Art is vision and hearing impaired, but that does not stop from getting around and finding something yummy to nibble on. When it's time for dinner, Art comes running down the hall into the kitchen and hops around in excitement. When it's time for a treat, Art throws his head back with a smile and savors every morsel. Food is 100% the way to his heart, and 100% the motivation he needs to master his potty skills. Once he knew treats were given out for using the bathroom outside, there has magically been no more accidents in the house! Art gets along well with other dogs, and respects their items (bowls, beds, etc) and space. Since his eyesight isn't the best he occasionally runs into other dogs but backs off if he can tell the other dog doesn't like him so close. He can independently find his way around the house and get to anything he needs without my help. He's not so much a cuddly guy, but does like to be close and loves head scratches. He sleeps through the night either in bed in my room, or one in the living room depending on his mood. He has the goofiest personality, gets excited about the littlest things and is always hopping all over the place like a 12 year old, arthritic puppy. Art makes me smile multiple times a day... just by being Art. I'll be so sad to see him go but I can't wait for him to find his perfect forever home.

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Art 12702, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
