My story

Bruegger is a 2 year old male pittie mix. He is incredibly chill, loves his couch time but has no issues with getting in his "P.E." time when the foster dogs tag him in for their nightlywrestling matches. He loves to be near his person but can handle just chilling on the couch alone if he has to. He came from Oklahoma and had a pretty sad start, his owner wanted to surrender him at a full shelter but they were full so they decided to just dump him there after hours and leave so he ended up roaming outside until the shelter opened. He has exhibited some bad behaviors but improves every day. He tends to bark when his person leaves but calms down after a few minutes, he just likes to go with his person. And he will chew things if not put away but those are his main flaws and he gets better with training. He is fed at dinnertime privately in his own room or kennel. This guy just gets along with all dogs and people and he is housetrained as well, always a bonus! He cannot be in a home with cats or small animals, he recently killed a pet bunny and was returned (full disclosure) so we want to be sure his new home has no littles to possibly pique his prey drive interest. Is Bruegger your kind of guy? Are you looking for a layed back, chill companion dog? Bruegger seems like a perfect candidate for a emotional support dog because without training he already has a calm demeaner and gentle soul.

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Bruegger, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
