My story

Meet Josh – a gentle, quiet soul who’s still learning that the world isn’t such a scary place. 💕 Josh is leash-trained and walks well in calm environments, but he’s not quite ready for busy streets or loud parks just yet. Sudden noises or quick movements can spook him, so he’ll thrive with someone who understands that progress with a shy dog takes time and patience. Josh is looking for a special home that offers: • A peaceful, low-key environment (think cozy retreat, not weekend festival) • Possibly a well-matched dog companion to help him build confidence (though not required) • A secure yard or safe outdoor space to explore at his own pace • A kind, patient person who respects his boundaries and celebrates small steps forward While Josh may never be a lap dog, he has so much potential in the right hands. If you find joy in quiet companionship and understand the beauty in earning a shy dog’s trust — in tail wags, lingering glances, and slow, steady progress — Josh could be your perfect match.
