My story

***Currently located in Los Angeles, CA*** Hi! My name is Rouf! I was rescued from a high-kill shelter in Apple Valley just in time by Melita's Dream Animal Rescue, when a sweet couple agreed to help and saved my life. They have given me hope when I had none. They have given me the chance to find my forever home. I really enjoy being with people who love me. Did I tell you how wonderful my foster parents are?  They tell me I am a very loyal and loving guy. And smart too! They think I might be some sort of cattle dog and aussie shepherd mix because of some of the things I do and my beautiful eyes. But for sure, I have a huge heart and lots of energy! I learn new things very quickly. I like to play and show my affection with my humans. I do need and appreciate someone who understands me and will allow me extra time for slow introductions when meeting strangers. Once you have my trust, I’ll be your loyal friend for life. I love going on walks and hikes and I like meeting new dogs. I've been doing great going to the dog park!  I will do best with someone who is active and has dog experience with a dog like me. I have a curious spirit and watchful nature, and I love to have fun. I am looking for a forever home and the right human to love for life.
