My story

Meet Odie! Odie is an adorable 2.5 year-old Chihuahua with a big personality and an even bigger heart. While he might come off a little spicy at first, once he’s had time to settle in and decompress, he turns into an affectionate little love bug. Odie enjoys the company of other dogs (with proper introductions) and does well with older kids. He’s not a fan of cats, though. He loves playing with his foster siblings and his favorite toys, and he’s doing great with learning to walk nicely on a leash. In true Chihuahua fashion, Odie’s got a fierce little heart—he may be tiny, but he’s convinced he’s 100 pounds of pure bravery, always ready to guard his people with everything he’s got. Underneath that tough-guy act, though, he’s just a softie learning it’s okay to let his guard down. Slowly he is learning to relax and trust, and with time, love, and patience, he’s sure to thrive. While Odie is potty trained accidents are bound to happen so with timely breaks and some motivational treats we’re sure he’ll do great. We recommend setting up a cozy, designated space for Odie in his new home—like a kennel with soft, fluffy blankets—where he can feel safe and comfortable as he adjusts Odie is also a total cuddle bug—he loves snuggling up with his person and watching the world go by during car rides. Odie will need lots of love and patience as he is learning manners and boundaries. He’s a smart little guy and very treat-motivated, so basic training should be a breeze. This sweet boy is ready to find a forever home where he feels safe, loved, and understood. Could that home be yours?
