My story

This blue-eyed beauty is about 2 years old. She was rescued from San Bernardino animal shelter after being attacked by her kennel mate. Since joining Animal Wellness Foundation, she has been nothing but love. Rita did sustain some injuries and is on the mend with great vet care and an amazing foster home. Rita is a cuddle bug! She loves to sit on the couch and watch tv. Don’t tell her her size, she thinks she’s a lap dog. Rita is still perfecting her leash manners, she likes to sniff on walks, trying to follow whatever sent she finds. Everything about this girl is special, from her excited piggy snorting noise to her adorable potty style, she does a post potty dance. Rita is very loyal and bonds quickly to her people. Rita is a strong girl who will benefit from ongoing training. Rita would be best in a home with older kids. Rita would be ok with another submissive dog and with slow introductions. Rita is crate trained, house trained and up to date on her vaccinations.

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Rita, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
