My story

*** Danny is in our PetSmart Aero adoption center ***Danny #19218: gray/black tabby, short hair, neutered male, born approx. 3/24/24Cats: must have kitty friend Dogs: probably not Children: savvy tweens+ BACKGROUND: A kind-hearted person regularly feeds a group of homeless cats and gets them spayed and neutered. Danny showed up there hungry and ready to eat; since he was young enough to make the transition to living with people, she took him in and then asked The Rescue House if we could help him find a loving home.PERSONALITY: Danny is a playful guy who loves to tussle with his kitty friends and toss loose toys around the room like little mice and plastic springs. He finds pellet-style litterboxes fun because he can bat the pellets around as well as do official business, and when you change or straighten the sheets, Danny thinks it’s time to play tackle! He can be independent-natured and likes to call the shots for getting attention and being picked up, yet when you sit on the couch in the evening, the majority of the time Danny will come lie on your lap or settle against your hip. He likes to interact the most when you’re seated or lying down (more on his level) rather than moving around or looming above him. He’ll roll on his back so you can give him little chest rubs (not belly rubs, though, those can get him overstimulated). In the morning when your alarm goes off, Danny is often found snuggled up against you.COMPATIBILITY: Danny seeks out other cats to be his buddies and playmates and must have a kitty friend. He matches best with cats who have a strong enough personality to appreciate Danny’s rough and ready approach without feeling bullied (he made friends with another foster cat who is available for adoption: Sally!). While he has not had direct living contact to our knowledge, the neighbor’s barking dog does unnerve him, so we suspect he’d rather avoid the canine species. A calm routine-oriented home suits him best; we recommend adults or cat-savvy tweens and up.Danny is a sweet guy who is ready to become an integral part of your family clowder.
