My Foster Writes:Garfield is theeee cutest cat. He lovessss to sit in laps. All he wants to do is sit next to you or on you and get pet all day long. He also will follow you around wherever you go, so watch your step! HahaWhat my friends at ACC say about me:I have lived with cats in my previous home.I'm an independent kitty who likes to do my own thing.Cheek and chin scratches make me so happy!I am a cat that is in need of a lap! I can't wait to be your new lap cat.Garfield Lasagna was in the back of the cubby hunched with very large pupils and a tense body. He refused to sniff treats, but he did allow petting while remaining tense. He seemed to have warmed up very slightly, but generally remained tense during the entire evaluation. He's a sweet boy who needs more time.Garfield Lasagna tolerates attention and petting but appears to be moderately fearful or stressed in the shelter. He may be a little more independent, and may need time to warm up to his new home. We recommend that he go to a home with some cat experience preferred and be well counseled in fearful cat behavior.A volunteer writes: Garfield Lasagna has been making great progress! The first time I met him he was scared, needing time to decompress. The following week when I shot this video, he was still shy, but he accepted my pets. He has been trying his best to be brave in this new environment! He is doing such a great job! He leaned into head pets and I saw him relax as I spoke to and pet him.
