My story

"Little Maggie is such a unique gem! She’s petite at around 25 lbs (ok, well, she will be when she hits her weight loss goal). Maggie is dog friendly, low-medium energy (say what???), and she’s just as sweet as she can be with her foster mom. Maggie is good on a leash, calm in public, and enjoys car rides. Did I mention her tiny little nubbin? Because she has a teensy one and it’s so cute! Maggie doesn’t like being touched by people she doesn’t know. Care should be taken by her family to help others be respectful of her boundaries. Maggie joined MHCR from a very small, underfunded, shelter in Texas. She had spent some time there and the shelter staff thought she might be pregnant. Turns out she just likes food. 🤷‍♀️. Maggie got a dental, a spay, and has started her heartworm treatment. She’s ready to settle in with her forever humans. We recommend a home with a fenced in yard, and someone looking for a snuggle buddy." Maggie is being fostered in Longmont, Colorado. *We require all adopters to come to Colorado to adopt. *We do not transport dogs.* You can view this wonderful dog at https://www.milehighcanine.org/post/dogs/maggie/. You can apply for our wonderful dogs at https://www.milehighcanine.org/adopt/adoption-application/.

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Maggie, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
