Needs: Quiet home with a patient family and a safe space. **Meet Shoni: A Little Warrior in Need of a Loving Home** Shoni is a brave little dog with a heart full of potential. Rescued from a harrowing hoarding situation that involved 70 dogs, she is one of the fortunate six who escaped the dire conditions of being dumped in cornfields and deserts. While her past has left her wary of the world, Shoni's spirit remains unbroken. Having experienced trauma, Shoni is still learning to trust. Her journey from a chaotic environment to being dumped in a cornfield then trapped and moved to the safety of her foster home has been challenging, and she needs a patient, understanding family to help her heal. While she thrives in the company of other dogs, Shoni feels anxious when outside alone, a testament to her past experiences. Shoni’s ideal home would be one without young children, though she is okay with respectful teens, and a quiet home. She craves a safe, secure environment where she can take her time to adjust. With love and compassion, Shoni is ready to open her heart, but it may take a little while for her to feel completely comfortable. This little cuddlebug loves being held by her foster mom and has so much love to give once she feels safe.
