My story

IDGSR Welcomes LANDELL into the safety of the rescue!! THIS DOG IS FOSTERED IN TENNESSEE & AVAILABLE FOR TRANSPORT ************** Howdy! My name is Landell and I'm a spritely 8-10yr old male German Shepherd. I am located near Greeneville TN and will be available for transport. Quick Facts: Age - 8-10yrs old Home - ideally a home with a fenced in yard Kids - would do okay with kids (7+) Dogs - good with large female dogs Cats - CAT FRIENDLY!! Training - could use an obedience refresher 1. I have had a pretty rough life. Before coming to IDGSR, I was malnourished, beaten up pretty badly, and my health wasn't great. BUT with great food, supplements, and lots of love, I am a happy go-lucky gentleman! 2. I am CAT FRIENDLY!! Did you see my video of me interacting so nicely with the vet kitty? If you have a cat in your home, I'm sure we can co-exist just fine. 3. I would do fine as an only dog or with a large female companion. It is best for me to be the only male. 4. For a senior gentleman, I still have plenty of energy! No couch-potato here! I would love to go on daily walks, play in the backyard, or go on car rides. 5. I could use a brief refresher with some obedience commands. I use to know some things in my younger days and a refresher will help remind me of my gentleman ways. 6. If you could provide me with a loving and comfy retirement home, I will be your most loyal and loving companion. Walks, treats, good food, and lots of love are all I need. **SERIOUS APPLICANTS ONLY! If you are not 100% ready to adopt, please wait** ************** ***IMPORTANT ADOPTION INFORMATION*** -ALL dogs are fostered in TENNESSEE unless otherwise noted -We do transport dogs to the east coast; a transport fee will apply -All dogs are up-to-date on vaccinations, heart-worm testing, monthly preventatives, & are spayed or neutered -Puppies under 6-months of age will require a SPAY/NEUTER CONTRACT, a portion of the adoption fee will be refunded upon documentation of the spay/neuter -An application must be submitted before scheduling an appointment to meet a dog -Dogs are introduced to prospective adopters BY APPOINTMENT ONLY -Due to the high volume of emails we receive, first priority will be given to those with submitted applications -All rescue work is done by dedicated volunteers, please be respectful of their time -Not able to adopt?
