*** To alleviate the need to bring an animal into the shelter environment, The Anti-Cruelty Society has the Home-to-Home Shelter Bypass service to help people find new accommodations for their pets privately. These animals are not located in any of the Society`s physical locations. If you are interested in adopting this animal, please do NOT click the Adopt Me button and instead reach out to the current owner directly via the email provided in the profile. As this is a Home-to-Home animal you are not required to fill out an Anti-Cruelty Society adoption application form. *** Health issues/Medication: No health issues or medication at this time.Dietary restrictions: Wilbur did experience a flare up of eczema that we believe was tied to his diet. We have switched to dairy-free, wheat-free food (Blue Buffalo Basics) and treats. There have been no issues since then.Training History: Wilbur has completed the Beginner and Intermediate training classes with PetSmart. He has also had additional training via BarkBusters. Wilbur is housebroken and crate trained. He knows the following commands: Sit, Stay, Lay Down, Crate, Leave It, Come, OffPersonality Profile:Wilbur is a loving, playful, goofy, and somewhat stubborn dog. Wilbur is really good with people. He is excited and happy when you introduce new people to him, to the point of getting over excited and starting to jump up for attention. Wilbur has done well with kids. He has been around our son and daughter since they were 4 & 6 years old and he has never been aggressive towards them in any way. He has never guarded or become reactive when you take away a toy or food. When he is walked by himself, Wilbur does a good job with staying close to you with minimal pulling. Wilbur responds very well to a gentle leader. He will notice other people/animals on his walks, but doesn`t immediately go after them. I usually will tell him to `leave it` and continue walking. He does allow strangers to come up and pet him without issue. Wilbur does enjoy barking at the mail person/delivery drivers from our front window. We currently own two other dogs, in addition to Wilbur. One dog is of similar size and build to Wilbur and the other is a 15lbs. Chihuahua mix. Wilbur has started to show resource hoarding behavior with the other two dogs. Specifically, during feedings, Wilbur will eat his food and then make a beeline for our other large dog and b
