My story

Chivalry came into the care center as a stray due to this his history is unknown. Chivalry has displayed conflicting body language, including tense posture and mounting behaviors in the care center. While he was leashed and walked with ease, he showed signs of discomfort and tension when interacting withthe handler. Despite being given space, he continued to exhibit a conflicted state throughout the session. A volunteer writes: This big boy is Chivalry, a 75lb black and white cookie who came in stray just over a month ago. Chivalry has tested positive for heartworm disease and is looking for a home to rest and heal in.When we met Chivalry we gave him a toy, and another for good measure, and he carried them both in his mouth like a pacifier. While he is big, Chivalry is estimated to be just 2, and with all the changes in his life he must be overwhelmed. He was tense when he arrived at the shelter, but has loosened up and was affectionate and friendly when we met him. He climbed gingerly only my knee for a cuddle and enjoyed some head massages. Chivalry was uncomfortable in his gate greetings with other dogs, and is recommended for a home with older kids or adults. Primary Color: Black Secondary Color: White Weight: 77 Age: 2yrs 2mths 2wks
