Meet Lucy (Luisa) – The Sweetheart Who Just Needs a Little Time Lucy is a quiet, tender-hearted girl with a soft spirit and soulful eyes. Life hasn’t always been kind to her, and she's still learning that the world can be a safe, loving place. Right now, she’s shy and uncertain — especially in new settings or when her routine shifts — but that doesn’t mean she isn’t trying. She is. Loud noises like storms overwhelm her, and she thrives in a calm, predictable home. Her kennel is her safe zone — a place she retreats to when she needs to feel secure. Lucy is working hard to build trust with people, particularly men, and needs someone patient and understanding to help her feel safe. Underneath her cautious exterior is a dog who wants connection more than anything. Where Lucy truly comes alive is with other dogs. She lights up around canine friends, plays with joy, and gains confidence from their companionship. She’d do best in a home with a friendly, balanced dog who can show her the ropes and remind her that the world isn’t so scary. Lucy doesn’t need grand gestures — just steady kindness, a peaceful home, and a little time.
