My story

Meet Cheese! This handsome 98 lb Blue Heeler/Lab mix is as lovable as he is strong! With his gorgeous amber eyes and big personality, he’s sure to steal your heart. Cheese is house-trained, crate-trained, and knows his basic cues—plus, he’s a pro at catching treats! He loves pets, toys, and snuggles with his favorite people, but he’s also a big, energetic boy who needs an active home to help him stay happy and healthy. He’s dog-selective and would prefer to be the only dog in the home, though he could have dog friends outside of it. Because of his size and strength, he would thrive best in a home with kids 16 and up. If you're looking for a mix of adventure buddy and couch potato, Cheese is your guy! Cheese is an All-Star dog! His adoption comes with some extra benefits at time of adoption. Their adoption appointment includes a discussion with our Training Team, and they will go home with their very own no-pull-harness and a few enrichment goodies to help get them off to a good start! Our dogs and puppies go home spayed/neutered, microchipped, heartworm tested (7 months and over), and up to date on core vaccines, heartworm, flea, and tick preventatives. Their adoption also includes a free-vet exam at one of our participating veterinarians.
