My story

Alfreda is a pretty little package with giant ears! She was so excited to get out of her kennel and jumped right into having fun outside. A little rain didn’t bother her at all—she made full use of running back and forth with a toy, always checking in with us for treats. Treats definitely win over toys for Alfreda! She would drop her toy and show us her most polite sit for a treat. When she chews, she holds her head way back and looks up at us - it’s the cutest thing ever! Arrived at the shelter Mar 06, 2025. For questions, please email caccadoptables@gmail.com *Adoptions are walk-in 12-6 daily at 2741 S. Western Ave. Chicago, IL *The building is open 12-7 daily and adoptions end one hour before closing. All visitors 18 and older must have a government issued ID. *All household members should be present to meet dogs (especially those under 18 and any decision-makers). We recommend and can arrange dog to dog meet and greets for your current dog to meet a potential dog sibling at the shelter. You will need to show proof of up to date rabies vaccination for your dog or dogs. *Slow, cautious, and appropriate introductions are recommended after you allow time for decompression for the shelter dog.
