My story

I'm so excited to meet you, my name is Gabbie! I'm a hound mix, and I'm 45 lbs of snuggles and love. Sometimes I am a little nervous when meeting new people, but I warm up quickly and once I warm up to you, I will want to sit in your lap and give you the best snuggles of your life! Here are a few facts about me:-Potty trained. I go sit by the door to let my foster mom know that I need to go outside to go potty.-Crate trained. I love my crate and often lay down in there for a nap or just to chill out. I spend time in my crate whenever my foster mom is away from home, but at night I sleep in bed with her.-I LOVE other dogs. I am playful while also respecting their boundaries. I really look to the other dogs around for guidance on what people are 'okay' and safe. They help me open up and be my silly, loving self! -I love going on walks and hikes, and my foster mom says I am an awesome walker on leash!-Playing is my favorite. I play fetch in the yard with a ball, and also love to take all the toys out of the toy basket to find that perfect one to play with! I also love playing with toys- especially chew toys. I'm great at only chewing my toys and not chewing any household items. When the resident dog is tired of playing, I entertain myself with toys and don't bother him.-My foster mom says I am the happiest dog she's ever met! Each morning, I'm excited for the next best day of my life. I'm just a happy go lucky girl!I can't wait to share my fun and silly personality with my new family. Please note that the majority of our dogs in rescue are from shelters where they have been found as strays or abandoned. Their breed description is based on our very best educated guess based on physical characteristics and their dispositions.
