My story

I'm so excited to meet you, my name is Gabbie! I'm a hound mix, and I'm about 50 lbs of snuggles and love. Sometimes I am a little nervous when meeting new people, but I warm up quickly and once I warm up to you, I'm very affectionate and playful! Here are a few facts about me:-Potty trained. I go sit by the door to let my foster mom know that I need to go outside to go potty.-Crate trained. I eat in my crate and spend time there when my foster mom is away from home. At night, I sleep in bed with her. If she is gone for a short time, I don't need to be crated because I'm such a good trustworthy girl!-I LOVE other dogs. I am playful while also respecting their boundaries. I really look to the other dogs around for guidance on what people are 'okay' and safe. They help me open up and be my silly, loving self! Playing with other dogs is my most favorite thing in the world.-I love going on walks and hikes, and my foster mom says I am an awesome walker on leash!-Chew toys are the best! I'm great at only chewing my toys and not chewing any household items. When the resident dog is tired of playing, I entertain myself with toys and don't bother him.-I can be nervous when meeting new people. Loud noises and fast movements make me a bit uneasy. For that reason, I would do best in a home with adults only, or with older, calm children. -My foster mom says I am the happiest dog she's ever met! Each morning, I'm excited for the next best day of my life. I'm just a happy go lucky girl!I can't wait to share my fun and silly personality with my new family. Please note that the majority of our dogs in rescue are from shelters where they have been found as strays or abandoned. Their breed description is based on our very best educated guess based on physical characteristics and their dispositions.
