I get all the dogs out in a regular schedule when I am at home, I do work a regular job in the medical profession. The foster dogs are kennelled when I am at work George uses doggie stairs to get on and off the couch. My own dogs sleep with me but my fosters do not :) Not enough room in the bed and not all adopters let the dogs sleep with them so we try not to start habits that are hard to break George would do ok for short walks. Because of his loss ving outside 24/7 the first 7-8 years of his life he has developed arthritis, we have him consistently on glucosamine chondroitin and that helps tremendously George eats Hills Science Diet ID kibble and ID canned mixed, I sprinkle a probiotic powder on his food a couple times per week. He was adopted once but came back to us with severe colitis as the people didn't stick to his dietary needs. His colitis was so bad he had blood dripping from his rear end :(George update March 21st 2025. George saw Dr Jeff and it was determined he has really bad arthritis due to his life's beginning. We have him on Cosequin(Glucosamine/chondroitin) along with ear meds and eye ointment, he is chowing down canned ID food and is happy to just be in a home setting with lots of dog beds to choose from. He still needs a bellyband in the house as he was so used to living outside he needs a reminder we potty outside ;) Do you have a soft spot for a senior boy who has lots of love to give? He just needs someone to take care of him, keep him on his supplements to help his joints, keep his eyes and ears checked and feed him food that is easy on his digestive tract. George is a love! He has lots to offer, great company, pretty easy going, so appreciative when you take care of him :) Update: George (Gumba ) is having some issues with his neck, Dr Paul has him on kennel rest as well as pain meds. Poor little guy, years and years of living outside is hard on joints and the body overall :( George is on kennel rest, is on pain meds and we have started him on glucosamine chondroitin to help rebuild synovial fluid in his joints. Keep George (our little Gumba) in your prayers for healing and overall well being. Now that he has a warm loving foster home, much need medical care, sleeps in a dog bed in a cozy home, has consistent good food .....we just want him to heal so he can become someone's furry friend and be loved for the rest of his life. Can you be an angel and help sponsor George(Gumba) while he heals?Gumba aka George had a rough start to life. His family did not really consider him part of the family. He spent his life as an outside dog. Even with the life he had he is still the sweetest boy. We will find him a real family that will make sure he is part of the family. Is that you? He definitely needs a fenced yard to keep him safe. He does great with the other pups. Gumba is about 9 years old and weighs about 12 pounds. His adoption fee is $250 plus tax of $11.25 for a total of $261.25. My adoption fee helps cover all of my vetting needs such as HW test, rabies, DHPPL, Bordetella, neuter, dental and microchipping.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.August 19, 2025, 10:59 am
