My story

Meet Buck! This 2-year-old, 65-pound bundle of joy is the ultimate goofball who's ready to make your heart melt with his playful antics and loving nature. Buck is all about fun, whether he's rolling in the grass, running around at full speed, or splashing in the water—he’s a total water lover. Toys are his life! If there’s a ball or a squeaky toy, you can bet he’ll be right there, ready for action. But if he’s not playing with it, well... don’t even think about taking it out! He's got his own idea of playtime, and it’s all about fun, fun, fun. He loves playing fetch—and even keeps it interesting with a game of keep-away, so be ready to run! Buck is also a lover of quiet moments. He’s perfectly content playing by himself, but he's always ready to give kisses when you’re around. He’s got a gentle side, too, taking treats very nicely (no chomping here!). Buck might be a strong, goofy boy, but he’s also incredibly sweet and affectionate. After his first car ride, he learned to love them. At first, he was a little nervous, but now he's all in for the ride! He’ll make an excellent companion for someone who enjoys active, fun-filled days. This lovable guy is ready for his new home with someone who appreciates his big heart, boundless energy, and his natural goofiness. If you’re looking for a dog who’ll keep you on your toes while filling your life with love, Buck might be the perfect fit for you! As always, we strongly recommend bringing any resident dogs to the shelter for a meet and greet with potential new family members to be sure it's a good match. If bringing a dog for a meet and greet, please bring proof of up to date rabies, bordetella, and DHPP vaccines. To meet your future pet, come to Guilford County Animal Services between 12 and 4 any day except Tuesday!
