My story

You’ve heard the saying “The grass is always Verde-er on the other side”, right? Well Verde sure thinks the grass would be greener outside of the shelter! Verde is a sensitive girl who came to the shelter pretty unsure of people and normal doggy things, like walking on leash. But, she’s made great progress with the help of some dedicated volunteer friends, and we’d love to see her continue her journey in a home. Here’s what one of Verde’s advocates said:“I worked with Verde this morning. She was timid but leashed easily without fuss. She walked very well, loose leash. We had a long sitdown in the park. With some work and plenty of treats, I was able to establish touch and give her scratches. Significant progress. Easy loose leash walk back and return to kennel.”Verde shares her kennel with another PACC pup and would likely benefit from having a well- matched, confident doggy friend in her future home to help show her the ropes. She needs a secure yard and a patient family who will allow her the time she needs to adjust and feel safe. Please ask about Verde today!
