Tuna *VIP*

My story

Tuna is so incredibly sweet, wiggly and cuddly, that it is impossible not to fall in love with him. He is a dog for people who happily share their personal space, because he will be curled up pressed against you whenever possible. He seems to like warmth and happily wears a sweater when it`s cold.Tuna weighs 49 lbs, likes walks and walks pretty well, but gets antsy when there are too many strangers close by. For now that means he prefers walks in the neighborhood over a crowded park, until he builds up his confidence. He seems to like dogs but is also a bit scared of them especially the loud barking ones. Tuna is still figuring out how to play with humans, likely because he didn`t get that experience when younger so please bear with him if he seems overexcited. He tends to jump around and do circles but is learning to pace himself. So, children at home must be 12 years or older. He likes children and they like him too as we have seen from the interactions during summer camp. He likes rope toys, stuffies, flirt pole, jolly ball on a rope, and food filled toys.Tuna is not a social butterfly but is affectionate and cuddly. In particular, he needs a little more time to warm up to some males, but is fine with many and can get easily spooked by their sudden movements. He will need patience and gentle introductions. His fosters found that because he`s highly treat and food motivated, it helps if the males connect with him over the feeding time. Tuna must have had some bad experience but once he forms that trust, he`s very cozy with all family members as his fosters found.
