Tas

My story

Tas is ready to find his furever home already! His siblings were adopted and he's been waiting since mid November for his people to take him home. Need a great hiking partner? Tas is your guy! Need a dog to teach how to catch a frisbee or other tricks? Tas is your guy! He's very athletic and I think could be taught just about any trick you wanted, especially since he is highly food motivated!! He is an 8 mo heeler mix (the shelter said hound or shepherd mix and my dog scanner app says he has Ibezian Hound in him!) Tas is an old, grumpy soul in a young dogs body!  He's been working on his social skills with other dogs and has been doing fantastic!  He currently lives with other foster puppies and adult fosters and they all get along great. Tas would be fine as an only dog, but would probaby prefer another dog that he could play with. He prefers slower intros to other dogs (so go for a walk together and then meet off leash in the backyard). He does protect his food from other dogs, so will need to be fed separately. He is potty trained and uses the dog door like a champ! Oh, and did I mention he is the perfect size? Only about 36 lbs. His current foster home is pretty chaotic (with dogs), so I think he would love to have a little less chaos and more peace and quiet. He has been around kids, but younger kids scare him, so older kids or no kids would be better so they know to give him his space. Tas loves to have his head scratched and get as much of the love as you want to give him.  When he doesn't feel like playing with the other pups, he keeps himself entertained by throwing a toy up in the air and chasing it!  He will need someone willing to continue to work with him on his dog greeting skills and offer confidence and support for him.  Can you give this boy his perfect home?
