My story

My adoption fee has been paid thanks to a generous donor.--Welllllllllll..... ❤️EVERETT❤️ had to have both his eyes removed. When he initially came to us, we were told his eyes were already ruptured. They weren't but they were severely infected. We got the infection under control, and even though he had no vision, we kept up his FOUR meds for dry eye as long as we could. Unfortunately, we saw little improvement. In fact, his eyes would gum up in between the 4 hour doses and he would even just sleep with his eyes open. 🥺We decided that this was an uphill battle that couldn't be won, and we opted to go ahead and remove both eyes. Since he was already blind, very little has changed for his day to day life EXCEPT now he doesn't have to deal with the painful dry eyes. Blind dogs are AMAZING! He's so smart, too! He can map his entire environment within an hour and even use a doggie door to go potty!! Everett is great with dogs, cats, and kids, and loves to be loved.Can he get any better? Well, YES! In fact, his adoption fee is covered by a sponsor!! Let's get this handsome Yorkie a home!
