My story

Peachy is a perfectly quirky, little 2-year-old orange cat who will keep you on your toes, currently seeking his forever home! This adorable boy isn’t a lap cat but does enjoy being held and receiving pets on his little head. Peachy can be independent and aloof sometimes because he’s staring into space (orange cat brain cell loading, maybe?) but he loves to play and with the slight sound of a bell, you will find Peachy there! He never misses out on an opportunity to play or eat. He is fairly vocal about what he wants, and this guy knows what he wants! Have you heard of a cat who opens doors? Yep, cats are persistent and smart—you shouldn’t underestimate them. Peachy has indeed learned to open doors during his time at his foster home—who needs opposable thumbs, right? The resident cat who’s been there for three years doesn’t even know how Peachy does it! Peachy currently lives with 3 humans and 3 cats. This guy would absolutely thrive in an environment where he is the only cat (if his people are around frequently) or with other cat friends to pal around with; he is kind and lovely to get along with. One thing to note in his resume: his unique door-opening ability means that if the dry cat food is kept behind that door, Peachy will come to the rescue and grant every cat’s wishes for a feast! His forever family should plan accordingly. Aside from opening doors, Peachy loves to sunbathe in the warmest spot, chirp when you bother him in his sleep, and play with cardboard boxes. Peachy has a rare form of diabetes—diabetes insipidus—but as long as he has access to plenty of water and litter boxes, he can live a healthy, normal life. If anything, Peachy is an ambassador for proper hydration! If you have any questions or concerns about this medical issue, please reach out to Pet Haven and we’ll be able to share more while helping you navigate this with knowledge and compassion. Spring and summer are just around the corner, and what says summer more than a sweet and lovely Peach(y)! Consider adding this cutie-pie to your family. Interested in adopting or learning more about this cat? Please fill out Pet Haven’s adoption application: http://bit.ly/2fd9U2Fpethavenmnwww..org/adopt. All ages and breeds are a best estimate. Adoption fees include a mandatory sales tax of 7.525%. All cats have received comprehensive veterinary care and tested negative for feline leukemia and FIV unless otherwise stated. Cats are up to date on age-appropriate vaccinations and have been spayed/neutered, treated for fleas and/or ear mites, de-wormed, and microchipped. Please note there may be additional follow-up visits.

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Peachy (Special Needs), please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
