My story

Charlie is an extremely social and affectionate boy who was rescued from an outdoor colony in rural MO when his caretaker had to move away. He has never met a stranger and cannot wait to find a home where he can get all of the love and attention his little furry heart desires. Charlie came to us with a very bad dental situation and in the process of getting him healthy, he was found to have feline immunodeficiency virus (FIV). FIV is not contagious to people or to dogs. It is transmitted to other cats through blood. Charlie gets along well with other cats and could go to a home with other FIV cats or to a home with other friendly cats. He'd also love to be an only child because he loves to love. Cats with FIV live long and healthy lives and Charlie had an extensive dental once in our care. He's feeling so much better now! All cats adopted from The Rescue Project are to be indoor only cats.
