My story

Meet Gigi – Our Brave, Beautiful Brindle Girl Gigi’s story is one of true resilience. When she was first rescued by Angel Fund OKC, she had been hit by a car and needed surgeries to save her leg. On top of her injuries, she came to us completely feral, with no idea what love, safety, or a home even meant. Over time, and with the help of training through Farm Dog Oklahoma, Gigi has blossomed into a gentle, sweet soul who is slowly learning how good life can be. She’s still a little shy with new people, but once she trusts you, she secretly loves booty scratches (even though she pretends she doesn’t). Gigi thrives with the support of another confident dog—her built-in emotional support system—so she would do best in a home with a doggy sibling to show her the ropes. She isn’t a social butterfly, but she loves being near her people and absolutely lights up when out in nature. Hiking trails, quiet parks, or just exploring the yard are her happy places. Gigi is looking for a patient, loving family who will celebrate her progress, give her the time she needs, and let her continue to bloom at her own pace. In return, she’ll give you the quiet, steady kind of love that only a dog who has overcome so much can give.
