My story

Meet Houdini – A Sweet, Resilient Boy Looking for His Forever Home! Hi, my name is Houdini! I’m about two years old, and while I may look like a big, confident orange cat, I’ve had a tough start in life. I grew up in a home with too many other cats and never got the chance to learn what love and comfort truly meant. When my owner moved into assisted living, all the other cats were trapped and removed—except for me. I was alone in the basement because I was so good at hiding and avoiding the traps, that is how I earned my name: Houdini. When I was finally caught, I went to a foster home where I had to learn that humans could be kind, that soft beds were safe, and that toys were fun. It took me months to adjust, but now I love getting chin scratches and hanging out in my cozy cave bed. I’m still a little nervous in new situations, but I’ve come such a long way. The one thing that brings me the most comfort? Other cats! I get along well with feline friends and would love a home with a friendly cat companion to help me feel safe. I’m a big boy with a lot of love to give, and I’m finally ready for a forever family to call my own. If you’re looking for a handsome orange cat with a gentle soul, I might be the one for you!
