My story

Kingford has had a whirlwind of a first year of life, passed from person to person countless times, never quite finding the forever home he so deeply deserves. Through no fault of his own, this sweet soul has been returned time and again for reasons like being `too big` or drooling when he eats... But let us tell you: if you`re looking for a truly good dog, Kingford is your guy.This lovable goofball bonds quickly and deeply. He’s a certified lap dog in disguise, always trying to curl up close to his people. He walks like a dream, barely pulling on leash (unless he sees a deer!), and he’s quiet and calm in his kennel. He’s not reactive to people or other dogs, and he’s been an absolute gentleman during his time with us. Intake exams and vaccines? No problem. Meeting new staff? Tail wags and polite hellos. Walks with volunteers? Yes please!Kingford loves treats, toys, and affection, and he gives just as much love as he receives. He’s said to be housetrained, and we’ve seen nothing but wonderful behavior from him since his arrival.Kingford is ready to leave the rehoming cycle behind and find a place to call his own... for good this time.
