My story

Meet Stuart! This tiny miracle man may be the sweetest boy you'll ever find. From nearly hairless and covered in pressure sores to a spritz of stylish “distinguished gentleman” baldness, little Stuart has made an incredible transformation ~ and now he’s almost ready for his forever home. This tiny miracle man has been through so much, but his spirit never wavered. When he was surrendered to the shelter by a good Samaritan, Stuart was in heartbreaking condition ~ bones protruding, wounds across his frail body, and a heart murmur you could feel through the towel he was wrapped in. But with love, care, and a whole lot of snuggles, he’s healing beautifully. Just look at him now: he’s got the paws of a tiny monkey, the sleek nose of a koala, the fluff of baby chick fuzz growing in, and the tail of a baby mouse! Every inch of him is unique and perfect, just like his foster mom says. Stuart adores cuddles and melts into your arms like he knows he’s finally safe. He’s working on leash manners and house training and currently uses a belly band. He does well with a few stairs, rides nicely in the car, and enjoys wandering the yard. Stuart's dream house has a fenced-in yard so he can explore at his own pace, a loving human (or two!) who's home often, and snuggles. Lots and lots of snuggles. Stuart is resilient, joyful, and oh-so-ready for his next chapter. Could it be with you? Stu is approximately 12 years old and 5 lbs - we're working on plumping him up!
