My story

Gandalf is a senior gray tabby with eyes full of wisdom and a heart full of love. He is incredibly affectionate and melts into your arms for pets. He is the definition of a lap cat and just wants to be where his people are at all times. After the devastating loss of the only human he knew for 14 years, Gandalf was left wandering the apartment complex they once shared, alone and confused. He waited, day after day, for a familiar face that never returned. During One Love's intake vetting process, it was unfortunately discovered that Gandalf tested positive for FELV. Though Gandalf is FELV positive, he is currently showing no symptoms and still has so much life and affection to give. That said, because of his condition, he needs to be the only cat in his home since FELV is contagious to other cats — but don’t worry, he has enough love in his heart to fill a whole room so he is the only cat you will need, we promise. He is gentle, calm, and incredibly affectionate, a true companion who just wants someone to share his quiet moments with. Gandalf is a proud candidate for One Love’s Forever Foster Program — meaning there is no adoption fee, and One Love will cover the cost of all his medical care for the rest of his life. All he needs is a loving human willing to open their heart and home to a cat who’s already lost too much. If you believe in second chances and the magic of senior cats, Gandalf is ready to bring a little peace, comfort, and gratitude into your life.

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Gandalf, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
