Meet Oreo! Oreo came to CCHS from a farm in the Curtiss area. The farm had been sold, so the kitties needed to find a new place to live. Oreo is one sweet girl! She's so very pretty with a short-haired coat that is white with gray tabby highlights. She is about 2 years old and weighs 5.3#. Oreo is sweet, loving and playful, but she did test positive for Feline Leukemia. This is a virus that affects their immune system and can make a kitty more susceptible to other infections and illness, such as an upper respiratory infection with a runny nose. FeLV positive cats can still live happy and healthy lives, although they may experience a shortened life span. FeLV is contagious between cats, so Oreo will need to be the only kitty in her new home or to live with others cats that are Feline Leukemia positive. Oreo has one of the best personalities around, and craves attention and being with people. She is also a playful little girl and will provide lots of love and entertainment for her new family. She's really hoping some one can find it in their hearts to give her a chance at a happy home. If that's you, please apply to adopt Oreo today! You can go to cchs-petshelter.org/applying-to-adopt or bit.ly/CCHSadopt.Approved applicants will be notified via email. Please check junk/spam folders for a response. The adoption fee is $40. Adoption applications can be filled out at CCHS or online through our website, www.cchs-petshelter.org. Applications are not first come, first served. All applications will be reviewed by the adoption committee and the home chosen will be the one considered to be the best match. All cats and kittens have been vaccinated for Distemper, dewormed and microchipped. If old enough, they will also be vaccinated for Rabies and blood tested for FeLV/FIV. Cats and kittens will be spayed or neutered before adoption.CCHS is proud to be a No-Kill Humane Society. As a private, non-profit charity, our work depends on donations and volunteers to keep going. We are committed to helping the animals that enter our doors and finding each the best possible forever home.
If you have any questions or would like to adopt Oreo, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
