My story

Hi there, I'm Zed!🤩 I'm about 3 years old, and weigh 60 lbs. I was adopted a couple of years ago but recently returned. I'm a super smart guy who can get nervous in new situations so a strong leader would be the best fit for me.I've been waiting to find my real forever home, and here's what I have to offer! I haven't had a single house accident, I crate easily but am now trusted outside my crate overnight. I know to walk nicely on a leash, and am calm in the car. I'm super friendly to people of all ages, and I leave cats and chickens alone. I've had several new dog friends in my foster home, and don't always like everyone, so dog parks aren't my thing. I do best with younger dogs who let me be the boss, and I love puppies!! I've been surprisingly patient with them, and give firm but gentle corrections when they get too pushy. I really like kids too, I'll roll right on my back for their scratches! But younger kids can be unpredictable, so visitors of all ages are great, but fulltime would do best with kids 10 & up in my home, although younger dog-savvy kids may be a good fit. I was even professionally trained when I was first adopted! I've been doing some refresher work to get those skills back, but I'm smart and really want to please so that won't be a big task. And I LOVE to retrieve!! After I get the ball, I'll drop it at your feet and wait for you to throw it again (and again and again). I like to collect all the balls I can find and gather them on my dog bed. And when you're done playing, I know how to settle and hang out until it's time to have fun again. I haven't chewed anything I'm not supposed to since I got here, and enjoy chewing benebones and other hard toys. I do bark at new sounds, so apartment living is not a great fit.I have lots of other great skills and personality I'm waiting to show off, so get your application in and lets learn about me together!DATCP#483538
