My story

Happy is a strikingly handsome 2-year-old Standard Poodle with a delightful personality to match his good looks. This charming boy generally walks well on a leash and would benefit from a harness, as he can get a bit excited on walks. Happy is fully potty trained and will let you know when it’s time to go outside—no guessing games here! He absolutely loves wet food and plush toys, and while he’s not the biggest fan of dry kibble, a little creativity goes a long way with this smart pup. Affectionate and playful, Happy enjoys being pet, though can be a little sensitive about his head. He’s also quite the squirrel-watcher and window enthusiast, making him a great buddy for birdwatching or just keeping an eye on the neighborhood. Due to his high prey drive, Happy would do best in a home without small animals or cats. He’s done well with select dog friends and would thrive with a family who can continue his training, offer patience, and provide lots of love. Our dogs and puppies go home spayed/neutered, microchipped, heartworm tested (7 months and over), and up to date on core vaccines, heartworm, flea, and tick preventatives. Their adoption also includes a free-vet exam at one of our participating veterinarians.
