My story

Female, 3 years old, 34 lbs Personality: trustworthy, eager-to-please, affectionate, gentle, patient, quiet, timid/fearful, easygoing, snuggler, shy, loyal, and protective. Betsy is a sweetheart through and through. Eager to please and always tuned in to her peeps, Betsy makes the perfect house companion. Whether you're working from home or watching your favorite show, she’s happiest curled up at your feet, enjoying your presence. Betsy’s favorite time of day? Walk time! The moment the leash comes out, she’ll stand on her back legs and jump for joy. Betsy is house trained, trusted home alone outside of her crate, and knows the words “sit,” “paw,” “come,” and “bedtime.” While she may be shy around new dogs, she’s totally cool with cats. If you are looking for a sweet, devoted pup who will be your biggest fan and snuggle buddy, Betsy might just be the perfect match. Adopt Betsy—your heart will thank you. Betsy was found as a stray in North Carolina. ___________________________________________________________________ If you are interested in meeting a dog or cat, we require an adoption application. If the animal has "HAS APPLICATION" listed, they are still available to receive additional applications but also may be in the process of being adopted soon. Apply for a DOG: https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/CDCK/Dog City Dogs & City Kitties Rescue is a foster-based rescue in Washington, DC. We do not have a shelter. CDCK has a thorough adoption process to find the best possible fit for each of our dogs and cats (we do not operate under a first-come, first-served model). Upon accepting a new cat or dog into the organization, we provide a basic vet visit that includes necessary vaccinations, disease screenings, deworming, microchips, and spay/neuter for dogs six months and older. We do not provide a comprehensive medical exam before adoption. As a result, sickness, injury, and disability may exist unbeknownst to CDCK. City Dogs & City Kitties Rescue is not responsible for payment of any vet care, including known and unknown medical conditions once a cat or dog is adopted from us. Dog specific: Rabies, DHPP, and Bordetella vaccines. They are tested for HW, Lyme, Ehrlichia, Anaplasmosis. Most dogs will have a house-training accident in the initial days in their new home and we cannot guarantee any pet is housebroken or crate trained.

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Betsy , please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
