PLEASE NOTE! Unless stated otherwise, our dogs and puppies are located in Arkansas, and transported to the north/northeast once adopted. We do occasionally have dogs/puppies placed in foster homes in the north/northeast. In the cases where the pet is somewhere other than Arkansas, it will be noted beside the name of the pet. 4/27/25 DNA results are in! One of Poppy’s sisters had a DNA done- She is a German Shepherd, American Pit Bull Terrier, and Lab mix. There are a handful of other breeds mixed in there (“super mutt”). I hope the Pit Bull part won’t turn people away! She is about 3.5 months old. Poppy’s world was once a small, cramped parking lot just outside a bustling restaurant. The roar of traffic felt like thunder as she huddled close to her sisters, trembling with hunger and cold. Every horn and passing car sent her tiny frame into shakes of fear—yet she never let go of the sisters beside her. Then came the day her luck changed. A gentle hand scooped her up, whisking her away from that scary place and into a warm, safe home. At first, Poppy was cautious—her wide eyes wary of every new sound—but it wasn’t long before her true spirit began to shine. Now, in her foster home, Poppy greets the morning with a wagging tail, ready to play. She’s discovered the joy of soft blankets and gentle belly rubs, curling up against you for cuddles as soon as you sit down. She’s still a bit sassy—she’ll gently nip your finger during playtime to remind you who’s boss—but it’s all in the name of fun. Poppy’s discovered doggie friends here, too, and she loves their company. Whether she’s romping in the yard or chasing a toy across the living room, she hasn’t met a canine companion she doesn’t adore. Best of all, she’s almost house trained! Now, Poppy dreams of a forever home where she can share her boundless love every single day. She’s ready for family movie nights snuggled on the couch, backyard adventures under the sun, and gentle “goodnight” kisses before bed. Could you be the one to open your heart and your home to Poppy? She’s ready to turn the next chapter of her story into a tale of love, laughter, and happily ever after. Share her story, spread the word—and let’s give this brave, sweet girl the family she’s always deserved In New England To apply, please fill out the adoption app: https://form.jotform.com/212690945239059 Message or email apps.aasr@gmail.com with any questions.
