My story

3 1/2 year old Rue is a happy, friendly girl who can’t wait to be in a loving home. She`s looking for a home with plenty of belly rubs and butt scritches to give. It`s adorable watching her turn herself into a pretzel trying to get both at once! Rue is a perfect adventure buddy, and loves to explore nature and is always up for new experiences. Could that be with you? Like all of our pups, she would love to meet any potential canine siblings before heading home to make sure that it’s a great match, but she has done amazing in play groups here at the shelter.She was found as a stray so we don’t have any information about her previous life. At Zona Rosa she is a favorite of many staff and volunteers. Rue is very confident and loves people! She has done amazing on Dog Days Out, staying out the almost the whole day because they loved her so much! This sweet girl already has life figured out, she just needs someone who believes in her to give her a chance! Come visit this adorable lover girl today!Rue was able to go on a Dog Day Out recently and this what they had to say, `Rue had a wonderful day! We went on a nice walk, then ran around in a field. We did a lot of exploring around Zona Rosa, and one of Rue`s favorite activities was sniffing all the bushes we came across. She responded to some commands, and she would be a great dog to train. We practiced sit, wait, and heel. Rue is friendly and sweet, and she would be a great addition to any family!`Rue is up to date on her vaccinations, spayed and microchipped.Her ADOPTION FEE IS WAIVED! We want all our dogs to have homes as quickly as possible. In an effort to help dogs with longer stays, those who are deteriorating in the shelter environment, or who are harder to place find homes more quickly, the adoption fee for this dog has been waived.
