My story

Meet Reba, a 2-year-old sweetheart weighing in at 29 pounds. She’s as affectionate as they come and absolutely adores snuggles. Reba is full of fun and charm, with a personality that lights up every room she enters. She’s fantastic on leash, rarely pulling, though she does like to stop and take in the world around her. Reba is friendly with everyone she meets and has done beautifully in public spaces. She also rides like a pro in the car. Reba has had positive experiences with other dogs and would likely enjoy a canine companion. She gets along wonderfully with children—gentle, loving, and patient—but her enthusiasm sometimes results in a happy jump, so she might accidentally knock over smaller kids. She knows how to sit and is eager to please. She’s also a bit of an athlete and can clear a 4-foot fence, so she’ll need a home with a secure, taller or privacy fence to keep her safe and sound. If you're looking for a loyal, snuggly, and fun-loving companion, Reba might just be the perfect fit. As always, we strongly recommend bringing any resident dogs to the shelter for a meet and greet with potential new family members to be sure it's a good match. If bringing a dog for a meet and greet, please bring proof of up to date rabies, bordetella, and DHPP vaccines. To meet your future pet, come to Guilford County Animal Services between 12 and 4 any day except Tuesday!
