My story

Meet Brother – Your New Best Friend! Brother is a 5-year-old, 56-pound bundle of love who’s ready to charm his way into your heart and home. This affectionate guy is equal parts playful and snuggly, always up for a game of fetch or a cuddle session on the couch. He starts off walks with a bit of excitement and leash pulling, but quickly settles into a nice rhythm and becomes a great walking companion. He may need a little boost into the car, but once he's in, he rides well—as long as he's properly restrained. Otherwise, this silly guy will try to ride shotgun or even take the wheel himself! Brother is a total lover boy who thrives on human connection. He’s treat-motivated, knows how to sit, and is eager to please. He’s done beautifully in public, greeting everyone like a long-lost friend. While he can get a little bouncy with excitement, he’s easily redirected. He’s also a champ at bath time—no fuss, just suds and smiles. If you're looking for a loyal, toy-loving, people-adoring pup with a bit of a goofy streak, Brother is ready to meet you! Brother shows positive interest in other dogs. As always, we strongly recommend bringing any resident dogs to the shelter for a meet and greet with potential new family members to be sure it's a good match. If bringing a dog for a meet and greet, please bring proof of up to date rabies, bordetella, and DHPP vaccines. To meet your future pet, come to Guilford County Animal Services between 12 and 4 any day except Tuesday!
