My story

Male, DSH, 4 years old Temperament: friendly, high energy, extrovert Tux is ready to bring his elegance to your house! He is a fast friend to everyone and is quite vocal, ensuring he'll tell you what's on his mind. Tux will quickly become anyone’s shadow. He wants to be your friend, admirer, side-kick, confidante, soul-mate, and other half. He has no problem adjusting to a wide range of situations and is an extrovert who loves people. He does request all of the attention in the home— it won't be hard to keep all your eyes on him. Tux also has perfect litterbox manners and is not a picky eater, making him an even more desirable companion. He will be a perfect addition to a household with a high-energy and playful cat who needs a friend to play with. When he’s not cuddly, Tux is showing off how high he can jump. He especially loves a feather toy or a wand, making playtime even more fun! We do not have a shelter. CDCK has a thorough adoption process to find the best possible fit for each of our dogs and cats (we do not operate under a first-come, first-served model). Upon accepting a new cat or dog into the organization, we provide a basic vet visit that includes necessary vaccinations, disease screenings, deworming, microchips, and spay/neuter (unless specified). We do not provide a comprehensive medical exam prior to adoption. As a result, sickness, injury, and disability may exist unbeknownst to CDCKR. City Dogs Rescue & City Kitties is not responsible for payment of any vet care, including known and unknown medical conditions once a cat or dog is adopted from us. Cat specific vetting: Rabies, FVRCP, Feline Leukemia vaccines, as age appropriate. Cats are tested for FIV and FeLV, when age appropriate, but not when born to a FELV/FIV negative mother in foster care. The kittens have age-appropriate vetting to date, which includes a veterinary exam, deworming, microchip, and the first FVRCP vaccine. An adopter will need to agree to cover costs of spay/neuter when he/she is age-appropriate (usually 16-20 weeks) and will need to continue his/her kitten vaccines (including rabies) as he/she grows older. Kittens under 12 weeks of age must be adopted in pairs or to a home with friendly resident feline. They will not be considered as singles.
